Resumen :  Droughts, floods, shortening rain period and early frosts are facts that are affecting
agricultural production in our country negatively more every year. What has increased and
continues to exacerbate social, environmental and economic interconnected problems as
tension between groups, food shortages, poverty, deforestation, pollution, resource
consume at immoderate rates and vulnerability in the absence of adaptation.
The aim of this thesis project is to investigate and implement techniques, processes and
infrastructure to establish a productive cycle in a sustainable agricultural issue, including
protected agriculture, organic fertilizer production through the solid waste management
and vermiculture to implement and disseminate sustainable agricultural practices that
contribute to increased life quality initially in a rural community with national
implementation, based on an evaluation system that objectively helps the decision-making
and to measure results.
The methodology is similar to an iterative system started with the observation of
agricultural practices with their respective inputs and wastes. Second the joined a
production cycle from various processes taking advantage of a process waste as inputs in
another. Then was the literature research and implementation of the pilot project making
adjustments as the theoretical and practical feedback.
The results were the launch of a hydroponic tomato crop protected agriculture, the
production of bio-fertilizer with the respective leachate collection, which can be used as
additional organic liquid fertilizer, the development of a model to assess the level
sustainability of agricultural practices, which won the Second Place in the call to Award
Engineering Mexico City 2011; work outlined in the XI Congress of the Third Sector
Research organized by the Mexican Philanthropy Center (CEMEFI), in the First National
Climate Change Research, VI Technical Research Congress as Pride Polytechnic.
Since this is an agro-forestry project proposes to increase diversity, since the greater the
biodiversity, greater ecosystem stability, as adaptation to improve agricultural practices. It
also is proposed the creation of a civil association to continue this work started.
