¿Existe un escenario alternativo posible, que sea sostenible (en lo social, lo económico y lo ecológico) en el páramo de Berlín?

Resumen

This project aims to stand out the importance of paramo ecosystems, especially Berlin paramo in the department of Santander, this analysis aims to highlight not only the importance of the ecosystem as a conservation system, but also analyzes a critical approach to the active role of the human being in this ecosystem, for which an analysis of socio-ecological systems is used that allows to think about the relational dynamics of humans-nature. This new perspective allows to cover the conflict from a wide vision, where it is possible to consider the different worldviews. The analysis was made through secondary information sources, mainly literature review and focus group monitoring, a critical study of the human-nature relationship was established in the Berlin paramo. Where the analysis of the different components of the socio-ecological system was fundamental, in addition, the proposal of an alternative ideal scenario elaborated by Rincon, Duarte, Riaño and Agudelo (2020) was deepened. Thus, agroecological systems were identified as a sustainable ideal system, which accomplish the characteristics established by the community. A sustainability analysis was carried out with the aim of responding to: Why is an agroecosystem an ecologically, economically, and socially sustainable alternative scenario for the Berlin paramo? However, it is pertinent to clarify that the development of this analysis is not intended to ignore the complexity of the dynamics of the socio-ecological system, conversely, it is an approach to holistic systems as part of the study of life. Evidently the projected is not the solution to the conflict and neither does it pretend to be; it is just a humble urge to think; «The world in other ways».

Resumen

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo resaltar la importancia de los ecosistemas de páramo, especialmente del páramo de Berlín en el departamento de Santander, este análisis pretende destacar no solo la importancia del ecosistema como sistema de conservación, sino, además, analiza un enfoque crítico sobre el papel activo del ser humano en este ecosistema, para lo cual se utiliza como soporte el análisis de sistemas socioecológicos que permite pensar en la dinámica relacional de humanos-naturaleza. Esta nueva perspectiva permite abarcar el conflicto desde una visión amplia, donde es posible tener en cuenta diferentes cosmovisiones. El análisis realizado se hizo a través de fuentes de información secundaria, principalmente revisión de literatura y seguimiento de grupos focales, se estableció un estudio crítico a la relación humano-naturaleza en el páramo de Berlín. Donde fue fundamental el análisis de los diferentes componentes del sistema socioecológico, adicionalmente se profundizó en la propuesta de escenario ideal alternativo elaborada por Rincón, Duarte, Riaño y Agudelo (2020). Fue así como se identificaron los sistemas agroecológicos como un sistema ideal sostenible, el cual cumple con las características establecidas por la comunidad. Se realizó un análisis de sostenibilidad con el objetivo de responder a; ¿Por qué un agroecosistema es un escenario alternativo sostenible en lo ecológico, económico y social para el páramo de Berlín? No obstante, es pertinente aclarar que con el desarrollo de este análisis no se pretende desconocer la complejidad de la dinámica del sistema socioecológico, por el contrario, es un acercamiento a los sistemas holísticos como parte del estudio de la vida. Evidentemente lo proyectado no es la solución al conflicto y tampoco pretende serlo; es solo un humilde impulso a pensar; “el mundo de otros modos”.
