| Resumen : | Thousands of products can be obtained from the petrochemical industry, then, when we thought about proposals to encourage it, we can´t think in all of these products at a time, however, it could be considered the more relevant ones, those who currently have a high level of imports and sales value. In this study we found that the petrochemical which would be interesting to invest are ammonia, Low Density Polyethylene and High Density Polyethylene, due to its import levels, installed capacity and domestic consumption needs. Of course there are many other petrochemicals under these same conditions, however, to propose a starting point, some considerations were generated for the above mentioned products. It is very interesting that in the case of ammonia, the installed capacity is excessive even on the basis of apparent domestic consumption, but production volumes are not enough, having as a result the importation of large quantities. The installed capacity of ammonia is not utilized sufficiently. In the case of polyethylene, the production is unable to meet internal demands, but the main problem is the lack of capacity to cover the total volume necessities of this products. Faced with this problem, it could be shown that Mexico has all the resources necessary to give a new impetus to its petrochemical industry, which would result in better utilization of this valuable and non-renewable resource: oil. |
| Descripción : | Son miles los productos que se pueden obtener de la Petroquímica, y al pensar en propuestas para incentivarla, no podemos pensar en todos ellos a la vez, sin embargo, si se podría considerar a los que mayor relevancia tienen actualmente por el nivel de demanda nacional. En el presente trabajo se encontró que los petroquímicos en los cuales resultaría interesante invertir son el Amoniaco, el Polietileno de Baja Densidad y el Polietileno de Alta Densidad, dados sus niveles de importación, su capacidad instalada y las necesidades de consumo internas. Por supuesto existen muchos otros petroquímicos bajo estas mismas condiciones, sin embargo, con el fin de proponer un punto de partida, se generaron propuestas para los ya mencionados. Resulta muy interesante notar que en el caso del Amoniaco la capacidad instalada es incluso excesiva tomando como base el consumo nacional aparente, sin embargo los volúmenes de producción no representan la capacidad instalada real originando importaciones en grandes cantidades. En el caso de los polietilenos, la producción no es capaz de cubrir las demandas internas, sin embargo el problema principal es la falta de capacidad instalada para dar abasto a los consumidores de estos petroquímicos. Ante esta problemática, pudo demostrarse que México cuenta con todos los recursos necesarios para dar un nuevo auge a su industria petroquímica, lo cual daría como resultado el mejor aprovechamiento de este recurso tan valioso, y por cierto, no renovable: El petróleo. |
