| Resumen : | This study mainly aims to analyze the main determinants of innovation activities en the Mexican manufacturing sector. To this end, a comprehensive review of the theory on the subject to indentify the variables that affect the innovation process in manufacturing at the regional level. Subsequently found the importance of each of these variables through econometric models using data contained in the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) reports the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT). The results provide a faithful dynamic regional innovation system (SRI) in the mexican manufacturing sector, which can serve as a basic for designing policy instruments that aim to improve the innovative capacity and, hence, competition between regions. |
| Descripción : | Este estudio tiene por objetivo principal analizar los principales determinantes de la realización de actividades de innovación en el sector manufacturero mexicano. Para tal fin, se realiza una exhaustiva revisión de la teoría sobre el tema para identificar las variables que afectan el proceso innovador en la manufactura a nivel regional. Posteriormente se comprueba la importancia de cada una de estas variables a través de modelos econométricos haciendo uso de los datos contenidos en el instituto nacional de estadística y geografía (INEGI) de los informes del consejo nacional de ciencia y tecnología (Conacyt). Los resultados nos proporcionan una radiografía fiel del dinamismo del sistema regional de innovación (SRI) en el sector manufacturero mexicano, la cual puede servir de base para el diseño de instrumentos de política que tengan por objetivo mejorar la capacidad innovadora y, por ende, la competitividad entre las regiones. |
