En esta monografía se realiza una breve revisión del concepto de sostenibilidad desde la perspectiva económica y cómo desde esta perspectiva se plantean las preguntas qué debe ser sostenido, cómo debe ser sostenido y por cuánto tiempo, las cuales permiten analizar la sostenibilidad de diferentes contextos. Con base en esta perspectiva se revisa conceptualmente la sostenibilidad de las iniciativas de Reducción de Emisiones debidas a la Deforestación y Degradación de bosques tropicales (REDD+) y se establece una aproximación al tipo de sostenibilidad que estas plantean.
Abstract. In this paper is developed a brief review of the concept of sustainability from the economic perspective, also it is developed how from this perspective are established the questions about what must be sustained, how it should be sustained and for how long. Which can be used to analyze the sustainability of different contexts. Based on this perspective, it is conceptually checked the initiative of Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and degradation of tropical forests (REDD +) and it is established an approach to the kind of sustainability proposed by these.
