Obtención de líneas experimentales de frijol chocho (Lupinus mutabilis) con grado diferencial de contenidos de alcaloides para consumo humano y animal

Resumen

El cultivo de Lupinus mutabilis en Colombia es poco difundido, las siembras se reducen a parcelas para autoconsumo en comunidades indígenas del sur de país, en los departamentos de Cauca, Putumayo y Nariño. Se utilizaron cultivares para consumo humano y para la industria animal como fuente de alimento. La presente investigación obtuvo líneas de L. mutabilis con bajo contenido de alcaloides. Se realizaron 200 cruzamientos directos y recíprocos entre el cultivar Nacional de medio alto rendimiento de grano y el cultivar Jazmín seleccionado por bajo contenido de alcaloides; semillas de ambos cultivares fueron sometidas a tratamiento con el agente mutagénico metasulfonato de etilo a concentraciones de 0,04 M y 0,06M. Se seleccionaron los mejores cruzamientos por peso promedio de 20 semillas y rendimiento por planta para determinarles contenido porcentual de alcaloides y composición de la fracción alcaloidal por cromatografía gaseosa acoplada a masas. Ese obtuvieron líneas con contenido de alcaloides, desde 0,8% frente a 54,4% de la línea control, y un rendimiento de 30 g de grano por planta el cual se ajusta al promedio de la especie. Estas líneas promisorias, serán el cimiento de programas de fitomejoramiento posteriores que puedan incorporar a los sistemas de producción de clima frío una fuente de proteína de elevada calidad, para la alimentación humana y aplicaciones industriales.

Resumen

Abstract: The cultivation of L. mutabilis in Colombia is not widespread, the crops are reduced to plots for self-consumption in the indigenous communities of the country, in the departments of Cauca, Putumayo and Nariño. It is used to cultivate the promises of the legume line of the research group in the horticulture of the National University of Colombia, for human consumption and for the animal industry as a food source. The present research obtained lines of L. mutabilis with low content of alkaloids. A total of 200 direct and reciprocal crosses were carried out between the cultivar National contributing medium of high grain yield and the cultivar Jazmín selected for its low alkaloid content; seeds of two cultivars were treated with the mutagenic ethyl methyl sulfanate at concentrations of 0,04 M and 0,06M. The best crosses by seed index and yield by the plant were selected to determine the content of the alkaloids and the composition of the alkaloid fraction by the gas chromatography coupled to masses. Lines obtained with alkaloid content, from 0,8% to 54,4% of the control line, and a yield of 30 g of grain per plant which is adjusted to the average of the species. These promising lines are the foundation of plant breeding programs that have the built-in systMSE of cold production systMSE, the source of high quality protein, human food and industrial applications.
