The thematic of Sepé Tiaralu developed a meaningful course in the southern literary production is not only because of its persistence but also due to different appropriations established by various authors along the decades. This paper focuses on the text Sepé Tiaraju: romance dos Sete Povos das Missões (Sepé Tiaraju: the novel of Seven People of the Missions), 1975, by Alcy Cheuiche, composing a relation between the text with other referencial pieces in the thematic approach and constructing the identity relations propritiated themselves. There s an understanding that cultural manifestations refer construction of an identity of a community, be it a nation or a region, as well as the privileged role played by literature in the process. Thus, the contribution to transform parameters or just the maintenance and the strengthening of a cultural tradition already instituted of this indian hero s literary conception is questioned. |
