This research work on networks of food and craft production, aims to make a contribution to food sovereignty, given that it encompasses several processes from production of seed germination in the soil, cultivation and harvesting and transformation processes, marketing and consumption. Food sovereignty is recognized as a right in our legal system. In the rural sector of the parish of Juan Montalvo farmers till their land in a mixed form with machinery (tractor) and pair of animals, and in special cases, using horses or donkeys for plowing and for the sowing and plowing land. Referring the productive sphere, the seed is the basic source of production, which can be improved by different processes, producing two effects: the first in the productive sector, improving productivity, and, second, contributing to food sovereignty . Family farming is based on increased production products such as corn and potatoes, as well as milk production. Besides being implemented quinoa and lupine, which in earlier times were very noticeable in the sector, but the lack of technology and marketing sources have been losing influence. The research demonstrates the movement of products through the supply chain; in this movement some of the products they acquire transformations by artisanal production, which occurs in the parish lesser degree, such as the production of quinoa cookies. In relation to consumption habits, the population has become accustomed to consume processed products and imported by agribusiness, leaving aside the production site and motivating the loss of socio cultural values. |
